At Seedmark we have the largest team of professional and dedicated growers in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the largest in the world. Indeed, many of those growers are also Seedmark shareholders. And many have been business partners with us for a very long time indeed, which is precisely the type of relationship that we always seek to build.

But such size and stature has not been achieved by chance. Rather it is a direct result of what we are able to offer our growers and what we offer our customers.

We have also been in business for over 45 years and currently market throughout the world. But again, such longevity and international success is only a result of the impeccable grower and customer service we deliver.

Production and Marketing Options

To begin with, Seedmark offers it's growers one of the broadest product ranges imaginable ... we currently produce in excess of 80 individual proprietary varieties and over 40 common varieties.

What's more, our range of production alternatives is continually growing as we successfully attract new multiplication and commercialisation opportunities. A fact that also means we can further help growers provide for more sustainable returns and reduce the risks associated with price, yield and quality variability.

Crops are carefully managed to realise their full potential with Seedmark’s comprehensive range of agronomic and technical services that we can provide. And that is because we are totally committed to helping our growers in all aspects of their production whenever and wherever this is necessary.

Marketing Alternatives

On the marketing front we offer growers an unparalleled range of alternatives. These include Pool Marketing, Contract Production, Cash Prices and a number of other innovative options that help us to tailor what we do to best meet any individual grower's own specific production and business preferences.

Central to that is our experience, reputation and critical mass in both the domestic and export markets.

We now have a global sales reach which sees us successfully taking product to a diverse range of distributors, traders and brokers in more than 65 countries. This gives our growers an unparalleled international exposure which is powerfully backed by our highly skilled marketing team. A group of long term industry professionals who are totally committed to ensuring that Seedmark offers growers the very best means of maximising the value of their products.

Our Grower Philosophy

An essential part of our business philosophy is to do everything we can to ensure our producers are always at the cutting edge of the global seed industry. To this end, we are constantly improving our marketing options and varieties, and supporting new innovation through direct and indirect investment, local guidance and detailed agronomic advice.

In this context research and development, in particular, has been a principal contributor to our growers' and our own success. And it will remain an essential element of what we do in the future.

A primary goal of this R&D is to facilitate our diversification into completely new product groupings. We know that growers, like customers, are constantly seeking new opportunities and it is Seedmark's role to identify, develop and deliver those opportunities.

Likewise, new and improved versions of existing varieties are always under development, keeping the product pipeline open and delivering on our core objective of continuous improvement.

Indeed, Seedmark is now committing more funds than ever to R&D to find new ways to meet market demand, as well as creating new markets for niche products. Additionally, the creation of our Research & Development Steering Committee - made up of growers, employees and industry specialists - now provides the Seedmark family with expert feedback and guidance on a wide range of key production issues.

Quality

At Seedmark, quality is an absolute production and distribution commitment, not just a convenient marketing cliche.

We know that quality is something that translates into genetic purity, higher germination, better establishment, increased productivity and improved overall efficiency.

And that's why quality is something we rigorously focus on at each and every step of the business process. From planting the highest quality stock seed to superior grower crop management. From modern harvesting and cleaning techniques to highly controlled and market leading packaging, storing and distribution. Everything we do is totally underscored by the Seedmark commitment to quality.

That's but one of the reasons why we have made a major investment to gain and maintain our ISO9001 accreditation. It is why we continually undergo independent testing to International Seed Testing Association (ISTA) standards to further guarantee the integrity of our products.

And it is also why we have the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) provide a unique level of added protection for international customers, by ensuring all our shipments comply with rigorous Australian export procedures and the demanding requirements of importing countries.

Logistics

We have long been convinced that effective logistics is one of the prime contributors to any seed business' long term success. Indeed, as customers become more demanding, government regulations increase, and weather conditions become more uncertain, we know that superior supply chain management becomes an ever increasing imperative.

Which is why Seedmark continues to critically review its own logistics procedures and regularly makes appropriate changes to the ways in which we handle our product. Recently we have made further significant investments in new information technology which has allowed us to gain much greater control over all facets of product handling and distribution. More importantly, these IT enhancements have also reduced our customer delivery times. We have similarly dedicated additional staff to all of our operations areas & so that we can be even more responsive to our customers' needs and get product moving with maximum speed, efficiency and reliability.

But at days end, great logistics is also about experience. And here, our 45 plus years of worldwide shipping and our intimate understating of, and compliance with, a vast range of differing national import regulations really does set us apart.
